Thus, the institution becomes the first Spanish trade fair operator to obtain this seal.<\/p>\n<p>The AENOR certification is an external endorsement of the effectiveness of the measures implemented by the company and, at the same time, confirms that these initiatives comply with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health and regional and local authorities regarding COVID-19 prevention and hygiene.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to evaluating the protective and preventive measures implemented, such as exhaustive capacity controls, traffic regulations, temperature controls, fogging arches, access through ticketing, emergency protocols, permanent disinfection of spaces, constant air renewal, and people control, etc., the AENOR team audited the latest edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, which took place from September 10 to 13. Specifically, the runway show was the first hybrid, semi-in-person event organized by IFEMA, developed with the highest safety guarantees for participants in this major international fashion show, whose organization has been recognized as exemplary in the face of COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIFEMA is proud to become the first trade fair operator in Spain to obtain this certification issued by one of the leading certification bodies, which endorses the effort and investment made in recent months to ensure a safe return to trade fair activity,\u201d said Eduardo L\u00f3pez-Puertas, General Director of IFEMA. Furthermore, he adds the &#8220;need to resume trade fair activity, as one of the key pillars for boosting the economy, as it contributes more than \u20ac5 billion to Madrid&#8217;s finances and contributes to the creation of 30,000 jobs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Rafael Garc\u00eda Meiro, CEO of AENOR, stated that &#8220;IFEMA demonstrates that its commitment to serving businesses and society is at the forefront of its considerations, consistent with its position.
