Advanced Manufacturing Madrid – What motivated you to start developing the ECOFIRE product?<\/p>\n

Ibai Moreno – The main motivation for developing ECOFIRE more than 10 years ago was to put an end to industrial and forest fires worldwide and to provide the public and fire departments with a tool to fight fires without even getting close to them.<\/p>\n

And, in this way, we also achieved a product that meets the characteristics that maximize its effectiveness in extinguishing and preventing fires, while not being harmful to humans.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

AMM – Can you tell us about the product development process? Any anecdotes or obstacles that stood in the way?<\/p>\n

Ibai Moreno – Product development has lasted more than 10 years and has always been closely monitored by industry professionals, such as firefighters and forest rangers, who demanded a product that met all of ECOFIRE’s specifications.<\/p>\n

The product developed more than 10 years ago was very thick and silted up, which prevented firefighters from adapting the product to their vehicles or using it in their hoses, backpacks, or diffusion pumps.<\/p>\n

Over the years, and after much trial and error with the help of industry professionals, we have achieved a product that doesn’t degrade. It’s liquid, easy to use by firefighters’ vehicles, hoses, and pumps, or by anyone on the street. It withstands extreme temperatures and lasts for a long time. It has one key point that stands out above any similar product on the market: it’s 100% eco-friendly, made with food-grade products, organic, and biodegradable, so it can be sprayed on animals, fruit or grain fields, forests, or even people without any harm.<\/p>\n

AMM – What is the technology behind this innovation?<\/p>\n

Ibai Moreno – It’s taken more than 10 years of trial and error, but behind it lies a significant evolution in processes and materials to achieve the definitive ECOFIRE we have today.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that the most important and most difficult part of achieving this has been a fire extinguishing and prevention product with the characteristics we mentioned above, and that is also 100% organic, biodegradable, and eco-friendly.<\/p>\n

It’s not a flame retardant, but rather a flame blocker, which ensures that once the product is applied, nothing will burn again at that point.<\/p>\n

AMM – What are the main advantages of this innovative product? What needs does it address, and how can it improve businesses’ lives?<\/p>\n

\nThe need it addresses is the rapid and effective extinguishing of any fire caused in forests, industries, or vehicles. It also has the ability to create a barrier against fire, when used preventively, that can protect and preserve your most precious assets.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the collaboration with Simonrack allows for a democratization of the product, making it affordable and accessible to anyone who needs it. The goal of this collaboration is to reach the widest possible audience internationally so that we can make a qualitative leap in the fight against fires, a problem that plagues people around the world.<\/p>\n

AMM – What industries is the innovation primarily aimed at?<\/p>\n

Ibai Moreno – Mainly any industry in the agricultural, metal processing, welding, cutting, or preservation industries, as well as the wood or plastics industries. But its use can be extended to any industry or company that faces a fire risk.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Simonrack, the Ecofire can be distributed through its traditional sales channels and can benefit all its current customers, as well as reach everyone who needs it.<\/p>\n

AMM – What are the main obstacles faced by a company that wants to develop an innovative product?<\/p>\n
