We are experiencing some very complicated weeks and a situation of great uncertainty that we trust will end as soon as possible. The entire MetalMadrid and Composites Spain 2020 team sends you our warmest greetings, hoping that you and all your loved ones—colleagues, family, and friends—are all well.
Our MICE sector is being affected, as is almost every sector. Many trade fairs and conferences have had to be postponed, and we are seeing our exhibition venues transformed into hospitals in just a few days. Easyfairs, the organizer of MetalMadrid, is a multinational company that has also made its own venues in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Sweden available to the authorities and is strong enough to face this crisis. I am convinced that together we will succeed.
Our mission, “Visit the future,” takes on more meaning than ever at this time. As we look ahead, there’s one thing we can be sure of: once we’re through this difficult period, trade shows, exhibitions, and other live events will play a vital role in reconnecting people face-to-face, doing business together again, and accelerating recovery. There are six months left until MetalMadrid and Composites Spain 2020, and we’re eager, more than ever, to open our doors, welcome you, and host the thousands of industry professionals who visit us each year.
In this exceptional situation, we have to be quick and agile. That’s why there’s no time to waste, and we’re already working on new participation, visibility, and sponsorship proposals adapted to the situation. While our offices are currently closed in accordance with the mandates and advice of the Spanish government, and in order to participate in the collective effort to ensure the best possible containment of the virus and ensure the safest conditions for our staff, our team is fully operational, working from home and remains available as always at all times.
