Current chemical coating technologies are expensive and sometimes the use of chemicals compromises the sustainability of the process.

How is additive manufacturing transforming mobility in Spain?
Additive manufacturing has been used in the transport sector for some time. It has multiple applications, from creating aircraft or helicopter parts, to making lighter engines for cars and even more efficient 3D printed models in the marine industry. The use of 3D technologies generally helps manufacturers create parts with more complex geometries and strong, efficient finishes, while saving time and money. In addition, due to increasing advances in areas such as materials research, additive manufacturing in the mobility industry has grown tremendously in recent years. In this round table with experts from the transport sector, we will be able to learn first-hand about the real possibilities of 3D printing and additive manufacturing in different areas of mobility in Spain.
