We’re excited to unveil the Mini 2, the next evolution of our ultra-compact cobot series. With double the payload (2 kg) and four times the acceleration (400°/s²) of the original MiniCobo, the Mini 2 performs tasks faster, shortens cycle times, and tackles more demanding applications – while keeping its compact size and intuitive user experience.

“MiniCobo received excellent feedback,” said Wolfgang Lienke, CEO of JAKA Europe. “But customers asked for more speed and lifting power. With Mini 2, we deliver exactly that, while keeping the same user-friendly footprint and price.”

Designed for industries where space, speed, and safety are critical – such as food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, laboratories, and inspection – the Mini 2 supports heavier tools like 3D vision systems and enables high-speed handling of heavier parts.

“Our engineers reworked the internal mechanics to ensure durability,” added Wei Shao, CTO of JAKA Europe. “Despite doubling the payload, we maintained MiniCobo’s elegant design and full software compatibility, so users can integrate it seamlessly.”

Sharing the same interface and core software as all JAKA cobots – from 1 kg to 30 kg – it offers a unified experience across automation setups. While the added power requires proper safety assessment, Mini 2 remains ideal for controlled environments such as lab cells, packaging lines, and automated testing.

Before the European launch, selected customers in Italy tested the robot, confirming its performance and flexibility. “They’re already finding smart ways to deploy it – especially for fast, lightweight tasks,” said Lienke.
