This week, Ifema is hosting MetalMadrid, Composites, and Robomatica Madrid, the leading industrial innovation event in Spain, which will be attended by thousands of professionals eager to learn about the latest advances.
The show, which will be held on the 19th and 20th, will focus on knowledge dissemination and training, with two theoretical and practical workshops and the Tech Congress 4.0, which will address current topics such as Industry 4.0, energy, sustainable mobility in the automotive and aeronautical sectors, robotics, composites, and additive manufacturing. Javier Sirvent, considered the “digital evangelist,” will be the keynote speaker.
Four guided tours will be offered to learn about the most surprising innovations in the sector, along with more than 50 live demonstrations of high-tech machinery.
The Advanced Manufacturing Awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday the 19th, the first edition of these awards that recognize the work of companies in the Spanish industrial sector that create innovative solutions to make them more efficient and sustainable.
Madrid, October 17, 2022. – This Wednesday the 19th, a new edition of MetalMadrid, Composites and Robomática Madrid will kick off. This is the leading event in industrial innovation, robotics, and automation, and the only one in Spain dedicated to composite materials and their applications. The fairs will bring together 613 exhibitors and more than 3,300 solutions in Halls 4, 6, and 8 of Ifema over two days, to present the most revolutionary advances in metallurgy, additive manufacturing, robotics, advanced and composite materials, connected industry, quality and testing, and surface treatment.
The dissemination of knowledge and training activities will have a special focus at this edition. Thus, Tech Congress 4.0 includes an extensive program of conferences, roundtables, and specialized forums, divided into three rooms, with content on Industry 4.0, energy and sustainability, paint automation, composite materials, and the CEFAM project, a strategic program for Excellence in Additive Manufacturing of Metallic Materials, among others. With more than 100 experts, the keynote speaker will be Javier Sirvent, considered the “digital evangelist” and one of the most distinguished minds in the world of exponential technologies in Spain. Speakers will also be present from renowned companies such as Talgo, Airbus, Foro de Energía, IVECO, Repsol, Navantia, Siemens Industries, and Acciona, among many others.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy more than 50 live demonstrations of high-tech machinery, with Lives! Demo Machinery, to see how laser welding works, cobots and robotic arms, testing equipment, press brakes, lathes, bending machines, milling machines, cutting machines (plasma cutters), laser engravers, lifting platforms, 3D printers and 3D cameras, augmented reality glasses, and much more.
The fair will also offer four guided tours, the Innovation Tours, which will cover the latest in digitalization, automation and robotics, composite materials, metal treatment and processing, and the most advanced engineering.
In terms of spaces, the event will represent the entire industrial value chain. Among them, the Innovation Area stands out, bringing together the most exciting projects from the three shows. Among the participants are Addvance Manufacturing Technologies, which will showcase its latest solutions in on-demand manufacturing, and AIMPLAS (Plastic Technology Institute), which will showcase the progress of its Sparta project, aimed at recycling composite materials for aerospace use. Innovation Planet will host the 37 nominees for the Advanced Manufacturing Awards not included in the exhibition area. The winners of the first edition of the Advanced Manufacturing Awards will be announced this Wednesday afternoon at the awards ceremony. Composites Planet will showcase the best proposals made with composite materials.
