In this edition of Advanced Manufacturing Madrid, the second edition of the Advanced Manufacturing Awards will be held. The awards ceremony will take place on the evening of 15 November 2023.

The Advanced Manufacturing Awards were created to give recognition and prestige to the companies of the Spanish industrial fabric that innovate every day, creating products and solutions that help to improve any phase of the value chain of a company, making them more efficient, more sustainable and connected.

STAR (Student Team for Aerospace and Rocketry)
The UC3M rocketry team will be present at stand 7D30 and will show the first rocket they have built with two successful launches, as well as components of their next launch vehicle, Astrea-C, which aims to beat the altitude record for a university rocket.

MicroStep y Codesol
These exhibitors have joined forces to organise numerous activities at their stands. Sculpture design by pieces and plasma cutting, welding of designed pieces, assembly of the interview plate, auction of the sculpture, the proceeds of which will go to the population of La Palma.

Aluminium TIG welding TRAINING WORKSHOP
By CENIM-CSIC & SOLDAMAN
The aim of this workshop is for participants to receive initial training on the TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding technique from a theoretical point of view in order to internalise the technique and apply the knowledge acquired in a practical workshop with specialists from Soldaman.

TRAINING WORKSHOP on metal additive manufacturing
By FAB3D-CSIC and SICNOVA
This workshop will provide students with an overview of the various metal additive manufacturing processes and the metal alloys that can be used. Participants will also have the opportunity not only to see, but also to touch, smell and hear the additive manufacturing process on a MELTIO 450 machine. The workshop is aimed at professionals, with or without experience in additive manufacturing, interested in the possibilities of 3D printing for functional parts in metals: tooling, spare parts, functional prototypes, custom designs, etc.
