MM-Welding® – Smart Joining of Lightweight Materials
MM-Welding® technology is an innovative fastening technique using ultrasonic energy to create a frictional positive connection in porous materials, sheet structures, sandwich materials, injection-moulded and pressure mouldings. To achieve this, rod or collar-shaped thermoplastic elements are used to fasten components. Features: - Significantly stronger connections than with many other fastening methods - Can be used without pre-setting to take up tolerance - Clean processing, as no additional materials or pre-treatment of surfaces is required, and no waste is produced - Statistical check on the process, which guarantees the quality of the individual fastenings - The technology is used in a wide range of industrial processes and in other industries, such as medicine and the furniture industry.
Threaded Inserts
Threaded inserts create precise, robust and wear-resistant nut threads in workpieces made of light metal, plastic and other materials with low shear strength. Defective threads can be replaced quickly and cost-effectively with threaded inserts. bigHead® Embedding and Surface Bonding Fasteners
The principle of a bigHead® fastener is simple: a fixing like a threaded collar, stud, nut or pin is welded to a perforated head. The unique bigHead® design enables a plastic or composite component to be fastened securely with no holes, no punching or drilling. The bigHead® can be installed after the manufacture of the parent component, “post-process”, or during the manufacture, “co-process”. bigHeads® are an ideal way to create a secure fixing point on a component. The fixing point enables the component to be efficiently fastened within an assembly or combined with secondary fastening elements.

DIN 7500 – the thread-forming screw
Thread-forming screws according DIN 7500 can be driven into malleable materials without the need for tapping the mating thread. Whether a certain type of thread-forming screw is suitable for a given malleable material (steel, aluminium or non-ferrous metal) should be tested and evaluated through application testing. Bossard engineers carry out application testing to assess thread froming screws, sizes M2.5 to M8, for your specific applications. Findings and recommendations are finally documented in a test report.

Rivet Technology

Blind rivet nuts and blind riveting systems provide the solution for your one-sided access applications, from high-strength applications to lightweight materials. If you require a high production output, speed riveting technology allows you to fasten up to 70 rivets per minute. The high-performance BR12PP-8 intelligent riveting tool from STANLEY® Assembly Technologies, the world leader in precision fastening, enables manufacturers to reduce scrap, optimize assembly area and provide real-time process data to the existing plant manufacturing execution system by recording shank break load and rivet pull distance. Designed to offer the best in intelligent, wireless, programmable rivet placement technology.
Halder: Spring plunger with moveable ball.
For sensitive applications, Halder developed a spring plunger with a moveable ball, minimizing the wear on the counterpart. In addition to that, the plastic ball bearing are also electrically insulated.
Threaded lifting Pins
Threaded lifting pins are quick and easy to use, robust support elements with which even heavy loads can be lifted safely. All that is needed for fastening in the workpiece is a suitable metric thread. By pressing a button, the threaded part retracts so that the threaded lifting pin can be inserted into the female thread of the load part. Releasing the pushbutton anchors the threaded lifting pin in the female thread. After a subsequent tightening of the threaded lifting pin, the load can be lifted. Threaded support bolts are available with and without a rotating shackle. The rotating shackle always aligns itself in the direction of pull during lifting without the lifting pin rotating. This prevents the load lifting device from coming loose.
SmartBin Cloud
Smartbin Cloud it's an all-in-one system. The weight sensor is triggered by motion and therefore updates all stock and order information instantly at every use (pick or refill) to have a transparent and monitored real-time stock level at any time. When a reorder point is reached, the system autonomously initiates a new order. Full control and reliability is ensured, as the order status and all product information are visible at a glance on the display of each bin. SmartBin Cloud makes use of the existing infrastructure through the newest IIoT communication. The real-time data is easily accessible through a reliable and secure industrial cloud connection at any time and place in the factory.
SmartLabel Cloud
SmartLabel Cloud is an intelligent modular label solution that can be fixed anywhere. All relevant product information, as well as real-time order status and delivery date, are visible at a glance on the display through the newest IIoT communication. This guarantees a better product information overview on-site and ensures full control and reliability. Users can release orders directly at the point of use at the touch of a button.
