About us
Sauer Compressors is a leading manufacturer of medium- and high-pressure air and gas compressors. The medium-sized German group of companies has thirtheen subsidiaries around the world. It was founded more than 140 years ago and has more than 90 years of experience in compressed air and gas technology.
Today, it focusses on the development, production and sale of medium- and high-pressure compressors for applications in commercial shipping, industry, the petroleum industry and the defence sector. The four product lines SAUER, HAUG, Girodin und EK focus on specific fields of application. The SAUER line comprises oil-lubricated high-pressure compressors for a wide variety of applications, while HAUG stands for oil-free and hermetically gas-tight compressors. The Girodin and EK lines offer special compressors for the naval market. Sauer Compressors’ modern reciprocating compressors for the compression of air and various gases reach pressures of 20 to 500 barg.
Besides standard products, it offers customised solutions for individual customers, OEMs and companies that operate on a global stage. With a global network of agents and representatives, Sauer maintains close proximity to its customers. By supplementing the compressor range with high-quality accessories, engineering services, assembly and service concepts, Sauer offers system solutions right up to complete turnkey installations.

SAUER Orkan
Power, reliability and gas-tight innovation The air-cooled SAUER Orkan series is based on a flexible modular system and features a high drive power of up to 110kW with a clear and compact design. Featuring a final pressure of up to 500 bar and booster types with suction pressures of up to 16 bar, this clearly designed solution also guarantees enormous versatility. It is hermetically gas-tight thanks to its maintenance-free and wear-free magnetic coupling, making it the perfect choice for demanding gas applications of all kinds.
SAUER 6000 Series
Power Meets Versatility The water-cooled compressors of the SAUER 6000 series feature a modular design with up to six cylinders, allowing for numerous configurations with final pressures of up to 500 bar and drive power of up to 230 kW. As the largest wet-piston compressors in their class, they deliver maximum performance even under the most demanding conditions.
SAUER Hurricane
Proven solution for high pressure demands The 4-stage air-cooled high pressure compressors of the SAUER Hurricane series are the top choice for demanding applications up to 400 bar. Thanks to their directly-driven and highly-efficient air cooling system, they provide maximum reliability, efficiency and ease of maintenance even in the most difficult conditions.
SAUER Tornado
Discover the vertical advantage The air-cooled high-pressure compressors in the SAUER Tornado series combine a compact design with maximum performance and final pressures of up to 400 bar, thanks to their vertical design.
HAUG Sirius
The star among the compressors The HAUG Sirius series has been used since 1973 for compression of air and gases and is a very mature compressor concept which, over the decades, has been continuously improved and developed. In the meantime, countless variants have been made available for different applications.
SAUER Neptune
Reliable compressor for any gas The HAUG Neptune series is used for the compression of any gas. Through the use of magnetic coupling, individual customer specifications and explosion proof requirements can be met.
HAUG Mercure
Small and agile The HAUG Mercure product line is used for the recovery and recompression of gases such as helium, SF6, oxygen, nitrogen and natural gas, as well as for the recompression of compressed air.
