Our partner Sugatsune recently launched its new product line with an innovative design under its renewed logo, Motion DesignTec (MDT). But what is MDT? It's a concept focused on the design of precise movements that offers access solutions with maximum fluidity and durability, both in the industrial and furniture sectors.

Soft-close or soft-close devices contain a system that slows the closing motion of lids and hatches. This allows for gradual closing, avoiding sudden noises and impacts. It not only protects the system but also improves the user experience.

Free-Stop motion allows doors or lids to stop in any desired position without the need for additional locking mechanisms, providing a clean and minimalist design. This is achieved through an advanced friction system that holds the door firmly at the desired angle.

Sugatsune's motion assistance is a great alternative to gas springs and damping systems. They are designed to facilitate the opening and closing of doors, lids, and drawers with minimal effort. The hold-open motion allows doors, lids, or panels to remain open in a specific position without accidentally closing. This system is achieved through friction mechanisms that provide a firm locking point.
Sugatsune's unique motion stands out for its ability to offer fluid, precise, and highly functional opening and closing solutions, adapted to different design and spatial needs. This type of motion is integrated into systems such as pivot hinges and parallel opening hinges.

Sugatsune's linear motion is designed to offer smooth and precise movement in a straight line, making it ideal for sliding doors, sliding panels, or storage systems. This mechanism allows surfaces to move in parallel.
