Lévis, Québec, July 8, 2026 — FARO CREAFORM, a business of AMETEK, Inc. and global provider of 3D scanning and portable CMM solutions, announces the expansion of its HandySCAN 3D portfolio with the launch of the HandySCAN EVO, HandySCAN EVO Plus, HandySCAN MAX EVO, and HandySCAN MAX EVO Elite.

The new product family is designed to make metrology-grade 3D scanning more intuitive, mobile, and efficient while maintaining the accuracy required for quality control, reverse engineering, and non-destructive testing applications.

The new HandySCAN 3D MAX Series is developed for measuring large and complex parts. The HandySCAN MAX EVO and MAX EVO Elite extend the EVO platform to large-scale applications, providing manufacturers with a portable solution for inspecting larger components directly on the shop floor.

When paired with the Mobility Kit, the MAX Series enables wireless measurements, reducing dependence on fixed workstations and improving operational flexibility. An embedded screen, guided workflows, and a streamlined scan-to-report process further simplify operation and enhance productivity.

The HandySCAN MAX EVO is optimized for product development, while the MAX EVO Elite delivers higher accuracy for inspection and NDT applications. Together, they provide a scalable metrology-grade solution for large-part measurement.

The new HandySCAN EVO and HandySCAN EVO Plus bring the same user-focused experience to everyday inspection tasks through integrated visualization and simplified workflows. The EVO platform recently received a Red Dot Design Award, recognizing its ergonomic and user-centric design.

Elite models also feature QR-code reading capabilities for faster inspection program launches and improved workflow efficiency.
