Last Christmas, tradition and technology came together at Ineo Prototipos
At Ineo, we love applying technology to special projects, and last Christmas we had the privilege of taking part in a very special one with the City Council of Terrassa (Barcelona).
We created a 1/2 scale model of Xiu-Xiu, one of the most beloved characters of the Three Kings Parade, who made his first appearance in 1951.
The project combined tradition and technology:
We prepared the 3D file from the scan of the character, carried out by Leitat.
We printed the pieces in several parts using HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF).
Our team took care of assembly, gluing, base painting, and final inspection.
The final painting was completed by El Social (Terrassa).
The result is a figure faithful to the original in every detail, thanks to the combination of craftsmanship and industrial 3D printing.
Projects like this remind us that innovation can also help keep the magic and wonder of these special dates alive.

The problem of essential discontinued parts
🔧 In industrial asset management there is a risk that often goes unnoticed: depending exclusively on the original manufacturer for critical spare parts.

How to scale from short-run to series production without assuming prohibitive tooling costs?
In industrial component development, one of the greatest technical challenges is achieving complex geometries while maintaining strict control over initial costs.
