New Geinfor Forecaster, artificial intelligence integrated into the ERP to strengthen purchasing decisions in the industrial sector
The new module uses the latest AI and ML technology to transform the company's historical sales data into demand forecasting scenarios. It operates natively on the data the client already possesses.
Geinfor presents Forecaster, its new demand forecasting module based on machine learning and natively integrated into its production management system. The solution addresses one of the industry's main operational and financial challenges: replacing intuition and manual spreadsheets with objective and reliable forecasts based on real data. The new module uses the latest artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to transform the company's historical sales data into demand forecast scenarios. It operates natively on the data the client already possesses. This has a direct impact on cash flow and operational efficiency. The lack of visibility in purchasing and production planning typically generates two serious problems on the factory floor and in the warehouse: stockouts, which cause production stoppages and lost sales, and excess inventory, which ties up working capital and increases storage and obsolescence costs. Geinfor Forecaster combats these deviations through: Detailed forecasting by item (SKU), automatic trend and seasonality detection, confidence scenarios and reliability indicator, and zero data loading effort. "Much of the manufacturing sector still answers sales forecasts with 'the same as last year' or with rough estimates that age poorly," says Geinfor's product management team. "With Geinfor Forecaster, forecasting intelligence is integrated into the ERP system the company already uses. It's not about adding another external tool to maintain or hiring data science teams; it's about directly asking the ERP system what you're going to sell." The Geinfor Forecaster module is now available for Geinfor ERP Bushido customers.
