The expansion of hydrogen projects across Europe and Spain is accelerating the demand for technologies that ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency under demanding conditions. In this context, LOCTITE, from Henkel, introduces its Hydrogen Ready range for threadlocking and flange sealing applications in critical equipment within the hydrogen ecosystem.

Hydrogen, due to its extremely small molecular size, can permeate through micro-imperfections and minimal gaps. Therefore, proper flange sealing is essential to prevent leaks, efficiency losses, and safety risks, especially in high-pressure and high-purity systems.

LOCTITE Hydrogen Ready gasket-forming solutions are single-component anaerobic liquid sealants applied directly to the flange, filling gaps and surface imperfections. After curing, they form a durable thermoset polymer that prevents long-term leakage, eliminating common issues associated with preformed gaskets such as fatigue, relaxation, or displacement.

In addition, by replacing multiple gasket references with a single product, logistics complexity and inventory costs are reduced while assembly is simplified and accelerated.

The Hydrogen Ready range has been independently tested under real operating conditions with 100% hydrogen, confirming its reliability in critical applications. Its sealing performance helps improve safety, optimize operational efficiency, and reduce maintenance costs.

LOCTITE also offers Hydrogen Ready thread sealing solutions, such as LOCTITE 55, 567, 577, and 638, as well as gasket-forming products like LOCTITE 510, 518, and 574, with certifications depending on product and market.

These solutions are used across the hydrogen value chain, including electrolyzers, compressors, pumps, valves, storage systems, pipelines, refueling stations, and other key infrastructure components.
