New Fronius Fortis: Latest-generation manual MIG/MAG welding

We are introducing an extremely versatile solution for high-quality manual MIG/MAG welding with our new Fortis series of welding systems, which we have specifically tailored to the diverse needs of SMEs.

The Fortis product range includes powerful devices in the 270 to 500 A range, available as compact all-in-one systems or as modular versions with an external wire feeder, which significantly expands the operating range. All devices can be upgraded with features such as pulsed arc welding, SynchroPulse, spot welding, TAC spot welding, HotStart, and Anti-Stick.

Finally, the Fortis Duo completes the range of solutions. The Duo version combines a compact device with an additional external wire feeder, allowing the use of two wire spools and two torches with a single device. "This allows the welder to quickly and easily switch between different materials or wire diameters at the touch of a button, without having to re-equip the system," explains Michael Eisterhuber, Product Line Manager at Fronius International. "This saves an enormous amount of time and is ideal for frequently changing tasks in contract manufacturing, steel construction, or assembly."

With up to 240 optimized characteristic curves for steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, it consistently delivers reliable results, even in demanding applications such as vertical-up welding, root passes, or joining thin sheet metal.
