MIS | Modular Interface System
The modular interface system (MIS) is a split cable entry for cables with and without connectors in combination with industrial connectors 3A or 4A. An industrial connector of size 3A or 4A can be plugged directly onto the frame. Cables with a diameter of 1 to 15 mm can be routed, sealed and strain relieved in accordance with EN 62444. The cable entry frame consists of a frame (mounting housing for the 3A/4A socket insert), a cover, two screws and a locking element. The counterpart consists of a housing for the 3A/4A pin insert and a cable gland, either M20 for cable diameters of 6 - 12 mm or M25 for cable diameters of 13 - 18 mm. The MIS is compatible and CE-compliant with numerous insert manufacturers (Harting, Ilme, Phoenix Contact, TE Connectivity, Weidmüller, Lapp, Amphenol, Molex, RS Pro, ...). The cable grommets are routed into the frame and automatically fixed in the frame. Once fully assembled, the cover is screwed on. The plug is then connected and locked into place with the integrated locking element. A protective cover is available for plug connections that are not required. This cover is available separately as an accessory. The combination of an industrial connector and cable entry saves further cut-outs and therefore space. The injected seal on the back achieves protection class IP65. IP65 is also achieved in applications with double grommets! The optional protective cover achieves protection class IP54.
