Ineo – Collaborating in the COVID-19 crisis

Ineo is altruistically manufacturing PPE for free distribution to hospitals and entities that need them.

In parallel, they are collaborating with the LEITAT technology center and the Parc Taulí University Hospital in Sabadell, manufacturing and supplying parts for new approved respirators and for improving existing ones.

The company also offers rapid manufacturing of parts to all public and private entities that need them for the production of components and equipment to address the ongoing crisis caused by COVID-19.

Collaboration on the COVID-19 Respirator Improvement Project

Due to the current health emergency, assisted breathing equipment is in short supply in hospitals and ICUs, generating a need to develop a 3D model that allows the use of assisted breathing equipment, initially designed for one person, to provide care to two patients, but also to support up to three or even four patients simultaneously, with the same ventilatory requirements.

The production of these parts began yesterday afternoon, March 24, 2020, and is being carried out by a group of companies that are lending their facilities and production capacity to this project.

Ineo is part of the group of companies that have voluntarily offered their facilities and production capacity to carry out this project, and we have been producing parts since yesterday.

The Intensive Care Units of the Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona and the Terrassa Health Consortium are carrying out the protocolization and implementation.

Due to its rapid implementation and impact on patients, production of this device has been prioritized, with 200 units available today, March 26, 2020, and 1,000 units expected to be available next week.
