In 2019, refrigeration and climate companies and organisations promoted World Refrigeration Day to give visibility to an essential industry, both in the domestic and professional environment. A sector that is constantly developing to improve the benefits of its consumption, but also drives environmental initiatives.
For the second consecutive year, this Friday, June 26th, marks World Refrigeration Day. A landmark day that brings together the entire industrial sector to promote and raise awareness about the important role that refrigeration, air conditioning systems, and heat pumps play in the well-being of society.
TRUMPF, a partner of the Cold and Heat Association (AFAR), joins this initiative as a constantly growing company, offering solutions for various applications, both in technological development and in industrial machinery, for the manufacture of components that contribute to increasing the performance of the refrigeration sector.
However, this essential industry wants to highlight its strong social commitment and responsibility in terms of energy efficiency and sustainability. “Although the various refrigeration systems and supplies are on the rise, thanks to the rising standard of living, there is a high demand to improve both domestic and industrial conditions in response to current demand,” acknowledges Manel Servian, manager of AFAR.
Everything from the medical sector to agriculture benefits from refrigeration technologies, but their value chain is not widely recognized. For this reason, AFAR itself, along with AEFYT (Association of Refrigeration and Technology Companies) and AFEC (Association of Air Conditioning Equipment Manufacturers), are joining forces to organize a virtual meeting this Friday, given the current situation, to raise awareness about the importance of refrigeration at a cross-cutting level.
The event, “Refrigeration, an essential and sustainable technology,” aims to build the new economic and social landscape following the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to providing cutting-edge trends for the development of new and more efficient industrial production systems and processes.
The various sector organizations want to take advantage of the event to lay the foundations for becoming a legal cluster and to have representation, both nationally and internationally, with the firm intention of expanding their activities on a global stage.
