July 21, 2020. Registration is now open for professionals interested in attending the new edition of MetalMadrid and Composites Spain, the leading event in industrial innovation and composite materials, which will open its doors on September 30th and October 1st.
Around 400 brands will be presenting their latest solutions in metalworking, machine tools, subcontracting, robotics and cobots, advanced and composite materials, PPE, components from different sectors, supplies, surface treatment, connected industry, additive manufacturing, and much more.
Oscar Barranco, event director, emphasized that “MetalMadrid and Composites Spain will be an exceptional showcase this year for all the changes taking place in the sector due to the pandemic, a space that will show how the industry has transformed and how companies have adapted. In short, the place to find the keys that will shape the future of the industry from now on.”
In this sense, the show will bring together exhibitors who are leaders in their markets, such as the Hoffmann Group, Trumpf, Renishaw, Acerinox, Chemetall (BASF Group), Eurecat, Fundación Tecnalia, Grupo Ferrotall, Infaimon, Creaform, Essentra Components, RNS Inox, Techtronic Industries Iberia (Milwaukee), Maqfort and Saind, who present their new products year after year, and many others who have wanted to join for the first time, such as Tecnotron, Mahenor, Sia Abrasives, Cecofersa, BTV, Estampaciones Arsan and Infinitia Research, among others.
Visitors will be able to tour the various exhibition areas comprising the event; on the one hand, MetalMadrid and Composites Spain, and on the other, the various industrial areas such as Robomatics, where the acceleration and digitalization of the industry following Covid-19 will be evident; Connected Manufacturing, which will showcase the latest technologies for building a digital, efficient, and optimal future; and Additive Manufacturing, specializing in additive manufacturing and 3D printing.
In terms of topics, the fair will once again hold its successful Composites Day, organized with AEMAC (Spanish Association of Industrial Engineers) and will offer, for the first time in Spain, the JEC Observer study, conducted by JEC Group on the growth prospects of the composite materials sector over the next 5 years. In addition, the conference program will offer various thematic sections covering all sectors of the event, including, for example, a dedicated session on Additive Manufacturing, where Aimplas, Women in 3D Printing, and HP 3D Printing have already been confirmed as speakers.
Furthermore, the MetalMadrid and Composites Spain teams are working to ensure the fairs are a safe place where exhibitors and visitors can once again meet face-to-face and conduct business. Their goal is to ensure the strictest safety protocols, based on criteria defined by health authorities and the main national and international public and sectoral organizations.
Furthermore, Easyfairs, the event organizer, has signed an agreement with SGS, a leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification company. SGS will verify and review the event’s cleaning and safety protocols with two main objectives: to ensure that MetalMadrid and Composites Spain’s safety protocols meet the highest international standards and to ensure that they protect against COVID-19 infection.
From the moment you enter the venue, you will experience all the implemented safety measures: contactless technology with the Smart Badge (a pioneer in the trade fair sector), mandatory mask wearing, social distancing, hand sanitizer, one-way routes, among other protocols available online. In fact, when registering, you must choose a visiting time slot, and those who register before September 7 will receive a Smart Badge at their home to avoid waiting and queues.
“This year, access will be restricted by time slots to offer access with social distancing and without crowds. Registering early will allow you to choose your preferred arrival time,” says Barranco.
In addition to all these measures, IFEMA is working to manage and control capacity and constantly monitor traffic to prevent large gatherings and ensure social distancing.
It’s worth noting that IFEMA has just been officially recognized as a safe space by the Community of Madrid and the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), through the Madrid Guarantee and Safe Travels seal.
“We know the fundamental role trade fairs play in economic recovery, and this edition, although obviously different and special due to the current circumstances, will return with more enthusiasm than ever, and will be inspired by the motto “Let’s reactivate the industry,” emphasizes the trade fair director.
