Lantek, a multinational company focused on the development and marketing of CAD/CAM/MES/ERP software solutions and a pioneer in the digital transformation of companies in the metal sector, strengthens its leadership in the Iberian Peninsula, where it continues to consolidate its position after registering an increase in its new customer base during the first half of 2020, reaching 2,500 references.
Meanwhile, the company is also seeing growth internationally, where it continues to consolidate its position after adding 1,100 new customers in the first six months of the year.
Thus, this growth in the number of customers, which brings the total number to 24,800, represents a new milestone for Lantek, especially considering that it has occurred during a challenging period marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and the strict measures taken by many countries to combat it. This has meant that production activity in the metal processing industry has literally come to a standstill, or at best, slowed down.
Given this scenario, Lantek offers a positive assessment of the company’s overall performance, especially in the Iberian market, where the pandemic has forced the implementation of highly restrictive measures for most sectors.
“We are very satisfied with the market response to our new version, Lantek v2020, and the trust customers are placing in us to ensure the continuity of their businesses and advance their digital transformation,” explains Joseba Montoya, Lantek’s Commercial Director for Spain and Portugal. “We must not forget that these results are the fruit of the efforts of the entire Lantek family, both employees and partners, who have once again demonstrated professionalism and absolute cooperation in adapting to the exceptional circumstances imposed by the pandemic.”
Looking at the distribution by region with the greatest customer growth in the first half of the year, Asia stands out, led by China and Korea; followed by Europe, where Eastern European countries are particularly prominent. Western Europe has maintained robust growth, regaining some traction, especially in the last two months.
In the Americas, activity in the United States is noteworthy, where Lantek is adding new customers with major solutions and projects.
Lantek at full capacity
After the impact of the coronavirus, uncertainty has gripped the market in general, and the metal sector is no exception. Faced with this situation and the conditions imposed by the “new normal,” Lantek is responding to its customers in the best way possible: adapting to ensure activity continues and productivity increases.
In this sense, and coinciding with the recent launch of Lantek v2020 under the slogan “Never stop working,” the company wants to highlight its commitment to its customers, offering them the opportunity to support their business so that it doesn’t stop, even during the summer or due to unforeseen circumstances.
Thus, and taking into account the rise of remote work, Lantek is joining the trend by allowing both its employees and its customers to continue operating by connecting from wherever they are. To this end, the new 2020 version is contingency-ready and ready to operate in various virtualization scenarios so that employees in a customer’s technical and sales office can continue using Lantek products remotely, thanks to the innovations included in the Lantek 360º cloud platform.
Likewise, the company will provide its services and operate at full capacity to serve its customers at any time and from any location. “This is also part of the philosophy of enabling more advanced and intelligent manufacturing thanks to technological advances. Customers demand this type of service, and Lantek delivers,” emphasizes Joseba Montoya, Sales Director for Spain and Portugal.
