Production of SEAT’s first electric motorcycle, the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125, begins.
The first units will arrive at Spanish dealerships at the end of December 2020. In addition, the new SEAT MÓ electric motorcycle is scheduled to arrive in five other European countries (Germany, France, Italy, Austria, and Sweden) in 2021, and will be hitting the streets of Portugal in the second half of the year.
The motorcycle is produced at the Silence plant located in Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona). The company’s factory in Molins de Rei suffered a fire last November and was burned to the ground. Following the incident, the Silence team, along with the support of SEAT’s R&D and Production Quality engineers in battery manufacturing, have been key in helping the company quickly return to normal operations and meet production deadlines. The Sant Boi plant was rehabilitated in record time to rehabilitate the battery assembly line.
Technical specifications
Powered by a 7 kW electric motor (maximum power: 9 kW), the scooter reaches a top speed of 95 km/h (59 mph) and accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h (0-31 mph) in 3.9 seconds. It has a battery pack that provides enough power for a range of up to 137 km (84 mph). It also features three riding modes: Eco, City, and Sport, which adapt to different situations. The battery is easily rechargeable and transportable, simplifying operation and providing a high level of connectivity that makes the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 a perfectly integrated element into users’ daily lives.
The vehicle is available in three matte colors for Spain: Daring Red, Aluminum Gray, and Oxygen White, created specifically to highlight the eScooter’s elegant and sporty character and accentuate its personality.
The challenge of the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 is to make city mobility increasingly sustainable, emission-free, and noise-free, helping to improve air quality and the user experience.
