The AutoDron project tests a new system of aerial transport of materials with drones for the automotive industry.
The Eurecat technology centre is participating in the AutoDron project, which has tested a new aerial transport system for materials and components with drones for the automotive industry, with flights both indoors and outdoors, which lays the foundations for future last-mile logistics to replace road transport with a disruptive system using autonomous aircraft.
Specifically, Eurecat has contributed to the development of the algorithm and software that make possible an autonomous aircraft navigation system (UAS) that ensures the continuity of the location of the aircraft and its control indoors and outdoors, as well as the implementation of the technical strategy for drone navigation.
