Demand for sustainability training soars by 60%.
The demand for specialized training in sustainability has shot up by 60% in Spain so far in 2023, according to figures from EALDE Business School. The need to incorporate professionals with this type of knowledge is due to the growing importance of corporate social responsibility, pressure from consumers and investors, economic benefits and the need to comply with regulations. Proof of this is that, according to a report by the International Labor Organization (ILO), 24 million green jobs will have been created worldwide by 2030.
“Companies recognize that sustainability is fundamental to their long-term success and are looking for skilled professionals to help them achieve their sustainable goals,” explains Sergi Simón, coordinator of the Risk Management Area at EALDE Business School, who adds that “the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda represent a paradigm shift at a global level of the production and consumption model in which we are ensconced and which, if we continue like this, will undoubtedly collapse.”
