Madrid, 4 June 2025. Easyfairs is once again joining Global Exhibitions Day, commemorating the transformative impact of trade shows globally. Its 10th edition, entitled ‘Trade Fairs Unlock Potential’, highlights the value of this type of event in driving not only economic growth, but also industrial competitiveness and the generation of employment opportunities in Spain and internationally.

According to data from the Spanish Trade Fair Association (AFE), trade fair activity generates more than 13,000 million euros of economic impact each year and more than 123,000 direct and indirect jobs in Spain. In addition, its contribution to the national GDP is around 6,500 million euros, according to the association. These figures once again consolidate Spain as one of the European leaders alongside Germany, France, Italy and the United Kingdom.

‘Trade fairs are much more than sectoral meetings: they are true accelerators of business, innovation and progress. At Easyfairs, we want our events to be a platform where strategic sectors unleash their full potential and where companies, large and small, find the ideal environment to grow, collaborate and transform,’ says Óscar Barranco, CEO of Easyfairs Iberia.

Fairs that move industries, people and communities

Easyfairs, as one of the leading European organisers of professional events, actively contributes to this ecosystem with trade fairs such as Advanced Manufacturing, Empack, Logistics & Automation, Logistic & Industrial Build and Worksafe, held in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Oporto. Every year, these meetings bring together thousands of professionals and leading companies in key sectors such as industrial manufacturing, packaging, automation, logistics and industrial building.

The 16th edition of Advanced Manufacturing will once again bring all of Spain’s industrial innovation through its exhibition and conference programme. The event, traditionally held in Madrid, conquered Barcelona for the first time in 2024 and this year will return to the Catalan capital on 1 and 2 October.

Professionals from the logistics, automation and packaging sector will also have an unmissable date with Empack, Logistics & Automation, LIB, on 15 and 16 October. Held annually together, these trade fairs are not only a national point of reference with their Madrid edition, but also have annual editions in Bilbao and Oporto.

Events for all professionals and sectors

In addition to the wide range of trade fair offerings presented by Easyfairs, in 2024 we will be launching Logistic & Industrial Build, the first event in Spain dedicated exclusively to the construction of logistics and industrial spaces, which will be held again alongside Logistics & Automation Madrid in 2025.

In addition, this edition of Advanced Manufacturing Barcelona will be accompanied by the inauguration of Worksafe, the major European event on occupational safety, fire protection and industrial safety, which comes to Spain for the first time on 1 and 2 October at Fira Barcelona.
