Advanced Manufacturing Madrid increases the number of exhibiting companies in the composites sector by 67%.

On November 20 and 21, the leading fair in the manufacturing industry returns to pavilions 7 and 9 of IFEMA, to showcase the latest innovations in its MetalMadrid, Composites, and Robomática Madrid halls. This year, the event organized by Easyfairs has increased its commitment to the composite sector through its popular content formats such as its conference and networking hall, Composites Ágora, its Innovation Tours, as well as the celebration of the 5th AEMAC Day. Airbus, Hexcel, AOC Resins, and FIDAMC are just a few of the exhibiting companies that will present the most advanced solutions and address the main challenges and opportunities in the market.

The composite materials sector in Spain is once again showcasing its strength through Composites Madrid, the event that is part of the leading trade fair in the manufacturing industry, Advanced Manufacturing Madrid. The 16th edition of the event, organized by Easyfairs, returns to IFEMA on November 20 and 21 to gather all the potential and innovation of the leading companies in the sector through its halls MetalMadrid, Composites, and Robomática Madrid.AMM’s commitment to the composite materials sector has continued to grow since the creation of Composites in 2014, as a result of the significant development, demand, and innovation emerging in this market. A reflection of this will be the upcoming edition of the fair, which has increased the number of exhibiting companies by 67% compared to 2023.

AMM has announced that this year the Composites Ágora will return, its conference space, networking among professionals, and exhibition of innovative solutions launched in 2023, which received an excellent response from the public. It will bring together the talent from the sector in Spain to showcase the latest technological advancements in the composite materials industry, while also serving as a hub where visitors can access specialized content and conferences with high-level speakers during the two days of the event. The networking space will be accompanied by coffee throughout the two days, and the morning sessions will conclude with catering for all attendees of Composites Madrid.Composites Ágora presentation program: a gateway to innovation.

El programa de contenidos del Composites Ágora arrancará el primer día con varias mesas redondas y conferencias. Una de las más esperadas será la ponencia de Enrique García, Chief Technology Officer del National Composites Centre del Reino Unido, quien desvelará las tendencias y perspectivas sobre el futuro de los materiales compuestos en la industria.  

A continuación, vendrá la mesa redonda organizada por Materplat y que estará centrada en los materiales como eje central del sector transporte. Esta contará con la participación de empresas líderes como CTAG, representada por Raquel Ledo, responsable del Área de Innovación en materiales y evaluadora de proyectos europeos, y por Tecnalia, con Sonia Florez, responsable de materiales multifuncionales. Ambas debatirán sobre los avances y desafíos en el ámbito de la movilidad.  

También se celebrará una mesa redonda sobre los retos actuales en la aviación, con la participación de gigantes del sector como Airbus y Boeing, donde se explorarán las tecnologías emergentes y las soluciones más prometedoras para mejorar la sostenibilidad y eficiencia en la fabricación de aeronaves. En ella participarán profesionales del sector como Mª Dolores Vázquez, Manufacturing Technology Specialist en Boeing y Tamara Blanco, Composite Materials & Processes Engineer & Expert en Airbus. 

Para clausurar la primera jornada del congreso, tendrá lugar la mesa redonda “PYMES5.0, Liderando la innovación, eficiencia y la sostenibilidad”, organizada por EIT Manufacturing, que aportará claves inspiradoras para impulsar las pequeñas empresas del sector a un nuevo nivel. En ella participarán expertos como Ignacio Montero Castro, R&D Strategy Leader y Digital, Sustainable and Humane Technologies en AIMEN Technology Centre, que moderará el panel, con claves inspiradoras para impulsar las pequeñas empresas del sector a un nuevo nivel.  

On the second day, attendees will be able to enjoy the 5th Edition of the Composites Materials Day, organized by AEMAC, the Spanish Association of Composite Materials, which will focus on the latest developments and innovations in the research of these materials, offering a program of inspiring lectures.

More than 14,000 companies and professionals present. In addition to the talk program, visitors will have the opportunity to discover a wide variety of advanced solutions in composites and composite materials, addressing all aspects of production, from machinery, materials, to product design. Attendees will find everything from structures made of carbon fiber, thermoplastics and filaments for 3D printing, to machinery for cutting and processing composite materials, as well as thermoforming machinery, among many other solutions. Additionally, sustainability in materials will play a significant role with lighter, stronger, and more environmentally friendly proposals, such as those made from carbon fiber waste.

Among the exhibitors already confirmed for this edition are important companies such as Airbus, Hexcel, Global Composites, AOC Resins, Fidamc, Biesse Ibérica, Zünd, A5 Project Group, Airtech, Alai Extrusion, Atom España, Bermaq, Biesterfeld Iberica, Birka Composites, Carbonveneta Iberica, Ensinger, Fairmat, Ferpa Graphic, and many more, who will be presenting their most innovative solutions and products.

Finally, all the sector’s innovation will be showcased to the public through the Innovation Tours, with guided routes for attendees to experience first-hand the latest solutions in the sector and expand their network of contacts with the exhibiting companies. The composites and composite materials Innovation Tour will take place on November 21st at 11:00 am. Visitors will be able to see during the tour the recyclable resins from Ez Ciclo by Swancor at the Global Composites stand, the tools and resins for large-scale 3D printing from Airtech, the IRON 30 cutting head from FK Group, the KNF50 cutting table from Ferpa Graphic, as well as the Zünd G3, a high-performance digital cutting table from Zünd.
