The event has been a resounding success, as evidenced by the fact that the trade fairs closed their doors with 63% of the space booked for next year’s edition (November 15 and 16, 2023).
The event once again brought together more than 12,000 professionals, once again demonstrating the unmissable nature of the event, which this year included a broad program of activities and content.
Furthermore, the first edition of the Advanced Manufacturing Awards was presented on October 19, enjoying strong participation and earning them a prestigious place both at the trade fairs and in the industry.
October 21, 2022 – MetalMadrid, Composites, and Robomática Madrid closed their 14th edition yesterday after two days of intense activity at Ifema, exceeding expectations for yet another year. In addition to the more than 12,643 trade visitors who packed the halls of the IFEMA pavilions, there was a record attendance of over 600 exhibitors and companies; the highest number in the fair’s fourteen years of existence. This is a tremendous boost for the sector and a demonstration of the relevance and leadership of the three shows in their different fields, which has been reaffirmed ahead of next year’s edition, for which 63% of the space has already been reserved.
For Oscar Barranco, Managing Director of EasyFairs Spain and Portugal, the success of this edition “reaffirms our commitment to maintaining close contact with the sector, developing value propositions that meet their needs.”
Regarding the large attendance of professionals and visitors and the volume of exhibitors, both those present this year and those already booked for next year, Barranco emphasized that “they consolidate our leadership in the organization of professional fairs dedicated to the industry and encourage us to continue growing together with collaborating companies and entities to reach 2023 with an even more groundbreaking proposal.”
In this regard, the three trade shows have organized an ambitious program of activities and content, such as Tech Congress 4.0 and its more than 50 hours of exclusive content, featuring renowned technologist Javier Sirvent as a keynote speaker, and a multitude of roundtable discussions and thematic forums, including the third day on composites with AEMAC, which once again served as a meeting point for knowledge of the materials of the future. Also held for the first time were practical workshops on TIG welding in aluminum and additive manufacturing in metals, with a huge turnout, more than 50 live demonstrations of high-tech machinery, and, once again, the Innovation Tours, which, as in previous editions, were extremely well received and enjoyed great participation.
With nearly 40,000 m2 of floor space, the three shows have provided the setting for the metal, robotics and automation, and composite materials sectors to once again meet to share solutions and opportunities for the entire value chain.
In addition, the Advanced Manufacturing Awards ceremony was held. These awards, a new addition this year, have already earned the respect of professionals and companies thanks to both the top-tier jury and the quality of the nominees and winners.
Over two marathon days and under three pavilions, professionals were able to see and learn about industrial solutions for the entire value chain, such as virtual reality systems, cutting-edge additive printing and manufacturing, and a new generation of machine tools, among other offerings.
As for the exhibition space, it has been completed with six spaces divided by taxonomies (Connected Madrid, Surface Madrid, Blech Madrid, Additive Madrid, Product Testing and Quality Control, and Smart Plastics) and new highlight areas such as the Innovation Area, Innovation Planet, Composites Planet, and the Awards Exhibitions, which have been a success with attendees and have given them the opportunity to discover the future challenges and solutions for the industry in just two days with a 360º view.
