For universal use on stainless steels:
FRANKEN TiNox-Cut cutters are being expanded with the “Base” series. As the entry-level TiNox-Cut line, it is intended for universal milling applications in stainless and heat-resistant steels.
Until now, the TiNox-Cut cutter family has been limited to high-performance cutters with roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing profiles for machining difficult-to-machine materials, such as titanium alloys and nickel-based alloys. This cutter family is now being complemented by the TiNox-Cut Base series, developed for special machining requirements of stainless steels and nickel-based alloys. As a universal solution, TiNox-Cut Base cutters represent the entry-level product line in the TiNox-Cut product line, specifically for the mechanical engineering, chemical, and food industries.
Available in two lengths, the cutters are focused on universal use in HPC roughing or finishing on heat-resistant and stainless materials. The special geometry of the Tinox Base facilitates chip evacuation and vibration-free machining. Variable spacing allows for smooth operation and vibration-free machining.
By using the latest coatings in combination with a high-performance carbide substrate, dry machining of certain oxidation- and acid-resistant special alloys such as 1.4301, 1.4571, or 1.4404 is also possible, depending on the milling strategy.
