MIPESA, Versa Design, and TCI Cutting. Successful partnership to mass-produce a smart indoor training bike.
The companies MIPESA, TCI Cutting, and Versa Design collaborate on the success story of the Zycle Smart ZBike, a smart indoor training bike that has revolutionized the home fitness market.
Versa Design, under the Zycle brand, developed the Zycle Smart ZBike, a smart indoor training bike. It also owns other developments such as sports simulators and the ZPRO smart trainers. These trainers are also compatible with the vast majority of simulators on the market. MIPESA, a precision machining company, was responsible for manufacturing the product’s precision mechanical components. TCI Cutting, for its part, is the manufacturer of the state-of-the-art 2D laser cutting machine, Smartline Fiber, which cut the material.
The perfect combination of the three companies and their respective R&D teams has enabled this innovative solution, which represents a technological revolution in the home fitness and fitness market. The product simulates cycling routes around the world with completely realistic sensations, thanks to its cutting-edge technology.
The technical excellence achieved with this smart bicycle is a direct consequence of the combination of two factors: the extensive industry experience of the three companies involved and the commitment to innovation of the team involved in this project. Comprehensive quality control throughout all stages of the production process has made it possible to launch this technological innovation, meeting the needs of the most demanding customers, both nationally and internationally.
The MIPESA Group brings together machining and laser cutting companies that, in perfect symbiosis, have manufactured the most critical components of the smart bicycle, such as the axles that support the flywheels, as well as the flywheels and brake discs of the equipment. While the axle components are machined on state-of-the-art precision lathes, the flywheels are made from 10 mm thick steel sheets, which are laser-cut and subsequently machined on numerically controlled lathes.
The laser cutting process was performed using the Smartline Fiber 2D laser cutting machine, developed and manufactured by TCI Cutting. This machine is characterized as the most flexible and affordable on the market and is specifically designed for customers seeking maximum productivity in short, long, and flexible production processes for all types of materials. The machine can be optimized with an automated loading, unloading, and storage system, and the implementation of Intelligent Production Management Software for autonomous and strategic decision-making (TCI Manager).
