About us
Bihl+Wiedemann is the technology leader in automation and safety technology with AS-Interface (ASi). We played a decisive role in the development of the entire ASi generation. Our ASi master was the first to receive certification from AS-International, the organization with 300 national and international members, in 1995. We were also pioneers with the market launch of ASi-5 devices in 2019. The new ASi generation allows for the transmission of larger amounts of data at significantly higher speeds. Since 2019, our ASi-5 modules have enabled, for example, the simple and convenient connection of a wide range of IO-Link devices, and since 2020, cost-effective solutions for complex drive technology requirements.

Drive solutions with ASi-5
AS-Interface (ASi) has long been an established feature of drive control. This is where the advantages of the globally standardized wiring system are especially conspicuous: the simplest installation thanks to the piercing technology, free selection of topologies, high flexibility and low costs. For many years Bihl+Wiedemann has been offering the ideal drive solution for many different applications – including roller drives, AC drives with and without frequency converter, as well as for 24 V motors. Our range of solutions is focused on leading manufacturers such as Lenze, SEW-Eurodrive, Itoh Denki, Interroll, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS and RULMECA. We also develop custom ASi solutions on request.
