Liquid painting lines
This is the main type of organic coating and is the most commonly used worldwide. It is characterized by its wide range of curing temperatures (from Ambient Temperature up to >180ºC) and the widest range of colors. Based on the solvent used in the emulsion (water-based or oil-based), this may or may not require additional auxiliary systems and the Cabycal Technical Team will provide their expert advice in each case. The liquid paint application systems can be optionally assisted by the application of static current and/or the implementation of the latest generation of 6-axis robots (especially for potentially explosive zones) for their maximum advantage (depending on the paint type and coated substrate type). In addition, they can handle practically all types of existing materials (wood, plastic, metals, etc.).
Powder coating lines
The powder paint application systems are primarily characterized by two features: 1) They are highly respectful of the environment. This is due to the fact that these types of facilities do not have significant VOC emissions and their high degree of recovery of the applied surplus paint. In specific cases and with special technologies, it is possible to recover up to 95% of the surplus paint. 2) Reduced energy consumption levels, despite the fact that in the immense majority of cases, temperatures of 180ºC are required to provide the activation energy required to start the polymerization reaction. Nevertheless at present, there are “low curing” powder paints whose drying is around 150ºC and even Ultraviolet curing (UVA) systems. The Cabycal engineering team determines the best paint recovery system and provides the solution with the best energy consumption levels, always taking into account the production requirements of each customer.
MVA6 Lesta Robot
