EMC cable entry systems Solutions for conducted and field-bound disturbances
In case of conducted as well as field bound EMI disturbances, our split cable entry system EMC-KEL-DS and our split cable gland EMC-KVT-DS offer an effective way to divert and block those disturbances and provides an alternative to conventional EMC cable glands — especially when routing cables with connectors.
MSMC | Modular stackable cable clamp / cable cleat
The modular stackable cable clamp MSMC is used for easy, quick and secure fastening of cables, pipes and other cylindrical components. The variable clamping range is up to 16 mm. The great advantage of this cable cleat is that it can be easily extended by stacking or baying. By using the CMC30 coupler, different clamping areas can be connected to each other. The MSMC offers a very high level of corrosion protection thanks to the choice of materials for the cable clamps and screws. The cable cleat consists of an upper and a lower part as well as hexagon head screws. A coupler is used to easily connect several cable clamps together horizontally. The longitudinal and transverse ridges of the support surface serve to absorb torsional and tensile forces. The central mounting point (slotted hole) offers a high degree of flexibility on many surfaces. For even greater stability and torsion resistance, two long screws can be used for fastening. The cable cleats are available as Set A for lining up and stacking or as Set B for baying. Set B contains a cable clamp (upper and lower part), a coupler and two short hexagon head screws. Set A additionally contains two long hexagon head screws. The cable clamp can be combined with a sliding nut for optional assembly on the 35 mm / 40 mm C-rail.
KEL-ER | split cable entry frames
Split cable entry system for routing and sealing cables with connectors, providing an IP66 / UL Type 12/4X* rating and strain relief for cable diameters from 1 to 16 mm (single-hole grommets KT 1 - 15) and 13 to 35 mm (single-hole grommets KTG 13 - KT 34). The cable entry system is easy to install. Cable grommets are placed into compartments and are securely fixed to the frame during assembly. The KEL-ER frames match exactly the cut-out dimensions for 10-, 16- and 24-pin standard industrial connectors. Either a cut-out of 36 mm or 46 mm in height can be chosen depending on the cables being routed. The KEL-ER-B frame matches the cut-out dimensions of 46 × 46 mm measuring instruments. The single-row versions KEL-ER-E are particularly suited for flat connectors. The small frames are ideal for applications with limited space. Thanks to the injected seal and the use of single grommets, the KEL-ER series achieves protection class IP66. If the flange surface is roughly structured or slightly uneven, we recommend installing the additional flat rubber gasket included in the shipment.
MIS | Modular Interface System
The modular interface system (MIS) is a split cable entry for cables with and without connectors in combination with industrial connectors 3A or 4A. An industrial connector of size 3A or 4A can be plugged directly onto the frame. Cables with a diameter of 1 to 15 mm can be routed, sealed and strain relieved in accordance with EN 62444. The cable entry frame consists of a frame (mounting housing for the 3A/4A socket insert), a cover, two screws and a locking element. The counterpart consists of a housing for the 3A/4A pin insert and a cable gland, either M20 for cable diameters of 6 - 12 mm or M25 for cable diameters of 13 - 18 mm. The MIS is compatible and CE-compliant with numerous insert manufacturers (Harting, Ilme, Phoenix Contact, TE Connectivity, Weidmüller, Lapp, Amphenol, Molex, RS Pro, ...). The cable grommets are routed into the frame and automatically fixed in the frame. Once fully assembled, the cover is screwed on. The plug is then connected and locked into place with the integrated locking element. A protective cover is available for plug connections that are not required. This cover is available separately as an accessory. The combination of an industrial connector and cable entry saves further cut-outs and therefore space. The injected seal on the back achieves protection class IP65. IP65 is also achieved in applications with double grommets! The optional protective cover achieves protection class IP54.
