Fieldbus systems and wireless control
The current trend in industrial plant automation is the replacement of traditional control schemes, where each device has its own control wiring, with bus systems that link multiple devices using the same cable. One of the advantages of a communication bus is that it requires fewer wires and cables to connect the various devices to their controllers. One of the most popular and widely used communication buses is Fieldbus. Fieldbus includes two different protocols to meet the specific needs of an automated manufacturing environment. Both use different physical media and communication speeds. The first protocol is H1, which operates at 31.25 Kbps and typically allows connection to field devices (sensors, actuators, valves, control lights, I/O devices, etc.), and also enables bidirectional communication between the devices and a controller. H1 provides communication and power capabilities over a two-wire system. The second protocol is called HSE (High-Speed Ethernet). It operates at 100 Mb/s and typically allows the connection of high-speed controllers such as PLCs, various H1 subsystems (via a link device), data servers, and workstations. At Tele Radio, we offer a wide range of systems with fieldbus protocols. This protocol reduces the likelihood of failures, ensures cost savings, and is extremely flexible. These advantages are further enhanced by rapid installation, standardization, and integration into machines and systems. The protocols are integrated into everything from the simplest, smallest receivers with just a fieldbus connection to the most complex receivers, combined with the safety of relays and SIL3 standard certifications.
