R&G Metal Shaping has been awarded at the "35th Precision Sheet Metal Technology Fair"

R&G Metal Shaping has been recognised at the 35th Precision Sheet Metal Technology Fair with the Technical Encouragement Award, a distinction that highlights precision, quality and technical excellence in sheet metal processing. This award, granted in Japan by the AMADA School of Vocational Training Corporation, recognises projects carried out with advanced skills and a high level of industrial expertise.

The award-winning part is a stainless steel 316 base frame, 3 mm thick, with dimensions of 300 x 300 x 530 mm and a precision of ±0.2 mm. This project reflects R&G Metal Shaping’s ability to manufacture complex parts with tight tolerances, carefully executed finishes and rigorous technical standards.

The manufacturing process included computer-aided design and manufacturing through CAD/CAM, laser cutting, bending, welding and surface finishing. Despite the complexity of the part, the team optimised the process with a programming time of just 15 minutes and a processing time of 360 minutes per piece, in a total production run of 100 units.

The jury particularly valued aspects such as the material thickness, bending accuracy, bending radius and 3.1 certified welding for pharmaceutical applications. In addition, the part is integrated into a larger structure measuring 2700 x 1700 mm and weighing 133 kg, demonstrating its role within a highly demanding industrial project.
