Shaft-hub clamping sets from norelem form a frictional connection between a shaft and hub. Generally, they are designated as standard connection elements in machine construction. Their task is to transfer torque and power from a rotating shaft to a hub, or visa-versa. They can also be used to transfer other forces such as axial or transverse forces, such as those that occur with gearwheels or toothed pulleys. Keyless locking couplings have a very low moment of inertia, which means that they can react very quickly to rotation movements. They also require only a minimum of space.
