PA12 FR: Additive Manufacturing for Applications with Fire Performance Requirements

We produce functional PA12 FR parts using HP MJF technology for applications with fire performance requirements.

PA12 FR combines the possibilities of additive manufacturing with halogen-free flame retardancy for industrial components with fire performance requirements.

At Bronymec, we manufacture functional parts and production runs using HP Multi Jet Fusion technology. HP selected us as the first participant in its European PA12 FR beta programme, and we have been working with this material since September 2024.

The material has a UL 94 V-0 classification from 1.8 mm and test results meeting EN 45545-2 requirements R22, R23 and R24. Suitability for each application must be assessed considering the component’s design, thickness, manufacturing process and finish.

We support customers in adapting designs and manufacturing parts, exploring opportunities to integrate functions, reduce component counts and simplify assembly.
