SMS Thread grinding machines

As early as 1995, the founders of SMS Maschinenbau GmbH recognized the far-reaching trend for the implementation of control technology for machine tools. The company was one of the first to equip existing (mechanical) thread grinding machines with cutting-edge CNC technology at attractive prices. The basic machines – principally those manufactured by Reishauer and Klingelnberg – were reconditioned and modernized (CNC-retrofit).

Today, the company has a further focus on development and manufacturing its own thread grinding machines.
