As a result of INPRE composites’ experience in manufacturing GRP components, the opportunity arose to collaborate with the company MAGALLANES Renovables. As a result of this collaboration and within the framework of European projects, marine generator blades have been manufactured, which take advantage of the energy produced by the tides to generate electricity.
In a first project, 6 blades were manufactured and have been operating successfully on the MAGALLANES renovables ATIR platform installed on the Orkney Islands in Scotland.
In 2022, as a result of the NEMMO project (www.nemmo.eu), INPRE composites is manufacturing 7 new blades with an improved design, which are scheduled to be installed on the MAGALLANES renovable platform in 2023.
